The 5501-467 gateway is a 1-port and 4-port industrial Ethernet gateway for RTU/ASCII/TCP and Ethernet/IP network communication modes.To integrate an existing Modbus device into an Ethernet/IP network,use the MGate 5135/5435 gateway as the Modbus client to connect data and exchange data to the Ethernet/IP host.All models are protected by a rough and compact metal housing,are DIN rail mounted and offer serial insulation.The rough design is suitable for industrial applications such as factory automation,power,oil and gas,water and wastewater,as well as other process automation industries.
Easy configuration
The 5501-467 gateway comes with a web console and can be easily configured without installing additional utilities.In addition,HTTPS communication encryption ensures higher network security.In most data capture applications,configuring devices with Modbus commands can consume time and increase costs.The MGate 5135/5435 gateway provides off-line configuration via a CSV file to help complete Modbus setup quickly.The MGate Gateway also offers software-configurable high/low pull and terminal resistance Settings forRS-485 2-wire to reduce the need to work and open the case.
Easy fault diagnosis
The 5501-467 gateway offers several maintenance features to reduce troubleshooting time and cost,including LED indicators,protocol diagnostics,traffic monitors,and tag views.These tools help you capture and examine data to easily determine the root cause of a problem,especially during the installation phase.The MGate gateway also has status monitoring and fail-safe functions.The condition monitoring function notifies the PLC/DCS/SCADA system when Modbus devices are disconnected or not responding,in which case the PLC/DCS obtains the status of each terminal device and then issues an alarm to notify the operator.The fault protection function performs predefined actions when the host is disconnected to prevent the terminal device from going offline for a long period of time.
