The 230E provides load sharing and speed control for generators powered by diesel or gas engines. With the built-in flexible configuration software, it is now possible to use an external computer (PC) to select changes to the application. The choice to change the application to fit the engine speed range, gear teeth and forward or reverse action is just a matter of software setup.
Since it has the same footprint and mounting configuration, it is backward compatible with existing 2301D products. The new controller ensures the continuous availability of a proven universal product with the following enhancements:
– RS-232 and RS-422 serial ports, respectively, with 9-pin connectors
Additional LED states for power and RS-422 communication
– Failure data logging capability to collect 16 seconds of data every 10 milliseconds for downtime, peak speed and load detection
– Drive low current voltage wave M outputs for Woodward L Series, F Series, P Series and PISC drives
– The new terminal block accommodates additional I/O, with most of the terminals in the same location as the 2301D model.
