GE Module Model GE 94-164136-001 PLC module

The VMIVME-4100 module is part of the VMIC family of devices, a series of digital-to-analog converter boards and CPU units. The units were built as a product of GE’s Industrial Automation division and later, after being withdrawn from GE’s production, were acquired and then manufactured by Abaco Systems. These VMIC modules are all available from AX Control’s product inventory and have been completely refurbished, restored, and then optimized to meet the latest industry standards.

The VMIVME-4100 models are available in 4, 8, 12 or 16 channel options with 12-bit digital-to-analog conversion capability. It can provide plus or minus 10 volts of output, with positive, true offset, binary input encoding.

The converter board features dual buffered data latches, buffered voltage outputs, and optional external or internal update control gating pulses. In test mode, the analog output is multiplexed to the analog test bus on the VME P2 backplane (user I/O pin) for analog-to-digital conversion via the VMIC’s analog-to-digital Converter (ADC) board (VMIVME-3100). Front panel indicators LED lights are used to quickly identify fault locations.

A unique feature of the VMIVME-4100 is the built-in test logic, which allows testing of any analog output channel by using an on-board multiplexer and the VMIVME-3100 ADC board. In test mode, field connections via the P3 connector may be isolated and any of the 16 channels can be routed to the 12-bit ADC board via the VMIC’s analog backplane (AMXbusTM).
