The BCU-12 is a microprocessor-based control unit for the protection and control of power transformers, shunt reactors and other high-voltage power equipment. It offers a full range of protection features including overcurrent, voltage, frequency and differential protection.


The BCU-12 has advanced communication capabilities that enable it to be integrated into a wide range of power automation systems.
The control logic of the BCU-12 is implemented through software programming, so it has a high degree of flexibility and scalability, and compared to traditional electrical control systems (using hardware wiring and relay mechanical contacts), the BCU-12 is easier to change or add functions.
In addition, BCU-12 can also be formed into a variety of optical fiber networks, with dual optical ports to achieve dual fiber ring network redundancy. When an optical fiber fails, the system can rebuild the network link within 10ms to ensure the normal communication of the system.
BCU-12 also has a strong communication capability, and can be interlinked with a variety of communication protocols to achieve information interaction with host computers, intelligent instruments and other devices.
