Technology does not grow organically. It is accompanied by the evolution of human society and grows in the evolutionary process. It’s a trinity – nature, humans and technology. By using natural materials for our purposes, such as trees, we have made significant progress. As the needs of the population grew, we invented automation to speed up the process. At some point, however, we find that we are reaching the limits of this growth. It wasn’t long before we also found out that this tree-cutting was causing problems like climate change. It’s time to invent plastics to replace plant-based materials. But with use over time, plastic also brings its own set of problems. The solution to technological problems lies in humans regulating their consumption and disposal, not in rejecting the technology that offers so much convenience and security.
