Description

The 3500/15 AC and DC Power Supplies are half-height modules and must be installed in designated slots on the left side of the rack. The 3500 rack can contain one or two power supplies with any combinations of AC and DC. Either supply can power a full rack. When two power supplies are installed in a rack, the one in the lower slot acts as the primary supply, and the other in the upper slot acts as the backup supply. If installed, the second supply is the backup for the primary one. Removing or inserting either power supply module does not disrupt operation of the rack as long as a second power supply is installed. The 3500/15 AC and DC Power Supplies accepts a wide range of input voltages and converts them to voltages acceptable for use by other 3500 modules. I/O Module Signal Common Terminal

A 2-pin connector for connecting Signal Common to a single point Instrument Ground for the rack is now present in both versions of the TDI I/O Module. To isolate Signal Common from chassis (safety) ground after doing this, slide the selector switch on the Power Input Module’s (PIM) side in the direction of the “HP” arrow.

Startup/Coastdown Data

  • Data collected at predetermined intervals of speed and time; separately programmed increasing and lowering speed intervals.
  • Collection of transitory data is started after a machine’s speed is detected inside one of two programmable windows.
  • The module’s memory capacity is the only restriction on the amount of transitory events that can be gathered.

Alarm Data Collection

  • 2.5 minutes of waveform data collected at 10-second intervals before the alarm and 1 minute of waveform data collected at 10-second intervals after the alarm.

  • Static values collected at one second intervals for 10 minutes before the event and 1 minute after the event.
  • Static values collected at 100 ms intervals for 20 seconds before the event and 10 seconds after the event.

Static Values Data

  • The static values, including those determined by the monitors, will be gathered by TDI.
  • For each point, l TDI offers four nX static values. For each of the values, amplitude and phase are returned.
