Mid-Autumn Festival is a good day for Chang’e and Houyi to meet once a year in Chinese mythology. On this reunion festival, in order to enhance the festive atmosphere and provide employees with relaxation and enrich their lives, Xiamen Xiongba held a trendy Mid Autumn Festival cake swimming pool party on September 5, 2022 at Haiyue Mountain Villa.
On the day of the event, nearly a hundred guests and employees from Xiamen Xiongba E-commerce Co., Ltd. gathered together to celebrate the arrival of the festival.

The Mid Autumn Festival pancake custom originated in Xiamen, Fujian, China, and is popular in Longhai, Zhangzhou, Anhai, Quanzhou, and Jinmen County. There are relevant records in the “Taiwan Prefecture Annals” during the Kangxi and Qianlong periods of the Qing Dynasty. The Mid Autumn Festival cake, originated in Tong’an County, Quanzhou Prefecture, Fujian Province (today’s Xiamen, Fujian Province), was invented by Zheng Chenggong. It is a popular entertainment activity during the Mid-Autumn Festival. The participants’ prizes are determined by the combination of six dice thrown results. The traditional prize is mooncakes of different sizes, totaling one session, with one champion, two in pairs, four in three, eight in four, 16 in two, and 32 in one. Legend has it that this game can predict a person’s luck within the next year. After the Opium War, Xiamen gradually became an important port city along the southeast coast of China, and the custom of making pancakes became more prevalent, evolving from family games to games between family and friends, and even among social groups.
