Advantech recently released AIW-163,a new member of the AIW-100 series.This advanced Wi-Fi 6 module is a future-oriented product in the Advantech Industrial Wireless(AIW)product portfolio,designed for industrial solutions that require high bandwidth,large capacity,low latency and low power consumption.The wireless module supports dual-stream Wi-Fi in 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands,making AIW-163 an ideal choice for medical equipment,factory equipment and retail kiosks!Advantech AIW-163 supports receiver automatic gain control(AGC),low density parity check(LDPC)and space-time block coding(STBC),improving dynamic range and performance.

AIW-163 with Wi-Fi 6 function can provide higher speed and bandwidth than Wi-Fi 5.In 802.11ax,the data rate has been increased to 1201 Mbps.In addition to faster speed and larger bandwidth,another major difference of Wi-Fi 6 is that it upgrades from single-user MIMO and OFDM in the first and second waves to multi-user MIMO and OFDMA.
Designed for medical devices
Advantech AIW-163 combination module increases the range of Wi-Fi 5 from 312.5 kHz to 781.25 kHz.This signal range can reduce latency and improve performance.Health care equipment and facilities will be able to work better than before.The module also supports target wake-up time(TWT)to save power.
