For highly reliable and standardized communication objects, the continuous or bit-controlled continuous mode can be generally adopted.

For the communication objects with low reliability and poor standardization, it is reasonable to adopt the single bit control method.

Control bits can be controlled in the following ways:

3, bit timing left (right) movement, small program amount, simple. The disadvantage is that you may lose tasks when encountering timeouts. In fact, when there are more tasks (>30), the continuous method is not much different from the first method above. It’s a matter of accounting.

The sent and received packets are generally counted in bytes. Each byte contains a start bit and a stop bit (usually 10 bits).

If the stop bit is two bits, each byte is 11 bits, plus a check bit, a maximum of 12 bits.

The length of the standard Modbus read data sending message is 8 bytes, and the length of the reply message depends on the length of the read data

How much change. The general rule is 5+N, then the total number of bytes sent and received is 13+N, the minimum value =14.

Minimum number of digits =14×10=140 digits, or =14×12=168 digits.
